The First Aid course uses the Chain of Survival to teach the basics of first aid, including injury prevention and when to get help. Upon successful course completion, participants will receive First Aid certification through the American Heart Association.Recently the American Heart Association substantially increased the cost of certification cards. $20 cash or money order will be due to the instructor after successfully completing the class for a certification card. Starting Soon Wonderful Wednesday (Thursday) Due to Willmar Public Schools going to the hybrid learning model, this class will now meet on Thursday mornings.Learn and play with your little ones each Wednesday (Thursday) this fall. The day starts with fun in the Jefferson Gym, then moves to our ECFE classroom for welcome songs and a story. Families play together for 35 minutes followed by snack time and more play. Parents are encouraged to separate from their children at this time and go to the adjoining room for a parenting discussion, but are welcome to follow their child’s lead and stay in the children’s room if preferred. Parents know their children best. Learn More Kids Together School Readiness preschool is a program for families with children 3 to 5 years old. Parents do not attend class with their child. However, they are required to be involved with the program. Many opportunities are available for families. Youth Programs Art classes, Prairie Woods activities, self defense, and drivers education are a few of the youth activities offered.
